Water Management

Print this page
There are a range of water management strategies for the Urban Environment that allow you to save, reduce and reuse water with the home. These include rainwater, storm water and grey water solutions and Water Saving Products.

Rainwater tanks
The products available are many, Round tanks, Slimline tanks, Bladder tanks, Liners tanks, underground Systems, Fence panel rainwater storage, Concrete tanks, Metal tanks, Rotated Moulded tanks.

Storm water
Storm water is Australia’s most wasted resource; we do not attempt enough to retain, detain or reuse this precious resource with the catchment area of the house and provide safe uses with the home. We have underground storage systems to harvest the storm water and site constraints provide options for reuse.

Grey Water
Grey Water is another water channel, this needs a number of site questions asked and clarified before it can be used legally and safely. These questions include Land Size, Soil Type, House design, Garden areas and set back from Pools, Pathways, Boundary’s and buildings. Some time these indicators will not allow it to be designed with the house layout. (WATERWISE Design) can provide you with the site application plan.

Grey Water is water from the Shower, Basin & Laundry, not the sink (Black Water), this water can be collected and shifted (pumped or gravity) within 24 hours to subsurface dispersal. Grey Water has health issues to be aware off, and one option that can be considered within the Urban Environment if the Local Council has laws allowing it.
